Demonstrations in Spain

love the word "manifestastion". They are very ritualized here.

The formation looks something like this:

1. Police motorcycles
2. Protesters (very well organized with banners and cute hats). Loud rhyming slogan shouting is a must.
4. About 20 meters
5. A phalanx of ominous looking armored police vans
6. A phalanx of street cleaning cars

I imagine the riot tonight will be much less organized. The mossos are getting their clubs ready and putting on their jaunty looking barets as I type...
