Reading this article in Slate, extoling the virtues of backing into a parking spot. There’s even websites in the US dedicated to promoting backing into your parking spot.
Here it’s not much of an issue as almost everyone backs into their spot. Even in the next to impossible to park-in underground parking lots, where natives seem to be able to park their giant SUVs without too much trouble. (Whereas I get white knuckles even with my tiny VW).
The statistic that 14 percent of all damage claims in the US involve crashes in parking lots was funny… I wonder how that compares to Spain. Perhaps I create a page on how to park at the Veritas parking lot with scraping too much paint off your car.
