Just tell me what you want!

I love the way people here never say what they actually want. Saying yes to something right away is frowned upon, instead you have to play this game where you say “no no, thank you” and the other person insists until finally you generously allow them to give you what you want.

To make things worse, people will not tell you what they actually want, they might tell their friends together with a “please please don’t tell anyone I said this” (translation: you better immediately phone this person). All this thinking about what other people might want that they are not telling you can make your brain hurt after a while.
