The morning after La Revetlla

We had a great day yesterday going to town, throwing firecrackers (well, just the ones that you drop on the ground and make a bang) and the kids and us were totally wiped out by bed time.

Strangely enough this is the first time in the nearly four years we have been in Sant Cugat that we’ve actually been here for this festival. Many times we’ve been visiting our relatives in Valencia, where they are even more serious about their firecrackers. The building was literally shaking from the explosions.

This morning, son #1 said “I had dreams that we were being bombed”. Son #2, who sleeps more deeply said “There were lots of explosions but once I fell asleep they stopped”. Baby #3 had no comment, but did sleep through it all (thank god).
