It’s been amazing to watch the moral decline of ERC during their short taste of power. When they first started talking about voting to approve Artur Mas as president they swore that they were never going to join a coalition with CiU. I supposed the trappings of power were too much to resist.
Now ERC is even voting against doing anything that could embarrass their new best buddies at the CiU, saying that having Artur answer questions about the corruption at the Palau would be “questioning Catalan institutions”.
Perhaps if the Catalan institution being questioned is politicians stealing money from Catalan taxpayers while wrapping themselves in the Catalan flag…
